About
Dr Cynthia Turner, Clinical Psychologist
Cynthia provides a warm and welcoming environment for those seeking psychological therapy. Her work is careful, evidence-led, and unhurried.

Approach
The work is grounded in cognitive behavioural therapy and the disorder-specific protocols with the strongest evidence — exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD and BDD, habit reversal training and CBIT for tics and BFRBs, and CBT adapted for anxiety presentations across the lifespan. Treatment is planned with the person, paced for what feels manageable, and reviewed openly.
For paediatric and adolescent work, parents are part of the treatment team. Stepping back from family accommodation — the well-meaning habits that quietly maintain anxiety, OCD or tics — is often a meaningful piece of the work.
